Solar Energy Helps Urbana Child Care Center Invest More in Children

Leaders at Crisis Nursery, an emergency child care facility for children whose families are experiencing difficulties, installed a solar project through Illinois Solar for All. Stephanie Record, Executive Director of Crisis Nursery, explained some benefits the non-profit experienced from its solar project.

“Participating in Illinois Solar for All allowed us to generate our own solar power energy so we can put more of our dollars toward caring for the children in our facility,” Record said. Also, the installation process was simple: The solar project “blends in well with our building and it’s really easy for us to manage. We just had to open our doors and let people in to install it,” Record said.

Record recommended Illinois Solar for All for non-profits and individuals who want to see solar savings.
