COVID-19 Program Updates
We’re continuing to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) and make the adjustments necessary for ensuring the safety of all program participants, staff, and partners.
Please refer to the COVID-19 Announcement from the Illinois Power Agency (IPA) on Friday, March 20, 2020 for information on the program adjustments currently in place, which include suspending onsite project inspections and in-person grassroots education workshops. Any additional program changes will be posted as a website announcement.
Third Program Year Calendar Released
ILSFA’s 2020-2021 program year is scheduled to open for project applications in July 2020. We’ll be accepting new residential, community solar, and non-profit/public facility projects in two submission windows over the summer, with initial project selection announcements made by fall 2020. Check this post for more details and to see the specific timelines for each sub-program’s project submission window and review process.
Please note that continued disruptions from COVID-19 could necessitate changes being made to this schedule. Any future changes will be published as a website announcement and can be viewed by clicking the button above.

Thank you to those who submitted grassroots education funding proposals. The application window closed on Monday, April 6, 2020, and our team is currently reviewing the proposals we received. We expect to notify applicants of the status of their proposals in mid-June 2020 and will make a public announcement of selected proposals shortly thereafter.
