Program Year 2019-2020 Updates
The second program year (2019-2020) of Illinois Solar for All is underway. Twenty-two projects have been approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) so far. The approved projects are located across the state and include community solar projects, non-profit and public facility projects, and one multi-family residential project.
The Low-Income Distributed Generation sub-program (for residential low-income solar projects) is still accepting project submissions on a rolling basis. Program year funding has been allocated for low-income community solar projects, and the final non-profit and public facility projects are under review. The next program year is expected to open in June.
You can use the Project Dashboard and Announcements webpages to keep up with program updates.
Learn More about Approved Projects
Summary descriptions of the approved solar projects are available and they’re full of information about each project. Consult these summaries to see which low-income community solar projects are accepting subscribers, what environmental benefits each project will bring, which non-profits are installing solar through ILSFA, and more. Check the website for the latest version as more projects are approved for the 2019-2020 program year.
Becoming a Qualified Job Trainee
The ILSFA Program helps create jobs by requiring that job trainees from eligible training programs work on a certain percentage of approved projects. Multicultural Programs and Solar Pipeline Programs funded by FEJA are among the eligible job training programs. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a job trainee, consult the directories below for information about each program’s start date, eligibility requirements, and more.
