Disclosure Form Resources
A key consumer protection requirement in ILSFA is the standard Disclosure Form, which includes information on consumer rights and makes it easier to compare multiple offers. Approved Vendors must fill out standard Disclosure Forms and provide these to participants to read and sign before the contract execution.
The Disclosure Form shows participants the expected terms for their specific offer, provides clear and consistent information about the ILSFA program, and estimates the savings for their residential solar installation or community solar subscription.
The Disclosure Form also includes information about system equipment and components, warranty, financial terms, total costs and fees, projected energy production and savings, and other important information. ILSFA requires that participants have a 3-day window to cancel a community solar subscription agreement, and a 14-day window to cancel an installation contract without penalty.
