Novel Energy Solutions, LLC (NES), is a Midwest based company that specializes in reducing government, business, farm and residential energy costs through solar installations, energy-efficiency technologies, and unique financing options. Founded by a fifth-generation Minnesota farmer, Cliff Kaehler, NES focus is on helping farmers and their communities take advantage of the benefits of solar energy.  NES brought the first four Community Solar Gardens in Xcel’s Minnesota program online. NES works with utilities across all territories to install both CSGs and Distributed projects for businesses, churches, government, schools and farmers. NES is also currently installing projects through the Adjustable Block Program.

Illinois IBEW Renewable Energy Fund

The Illinois IBEW Renewable Energy Fund (REF) promotes the safe, productive and sustainable growth of renewable energy systems in Illinois through community partnerships, stakeholder engagement and educational services.

The REF, in partnership with ComEd, has developed a Craft Apprenticeship Program to empower and engage the next generation of electricians and renewable energy workers with an emphasis on and goal to increase the adoption of renewable energy systems. Partner organizations, community colleges, high and junior high schools will have the opportunity to offer specific job training to individuals who then can apply and enter into IBEW apprenticeship programs throughout the State of Illinois.

*IBEW members must have completed IBEW's solar training courses to be considered Eligible Job Trainees*
