The Energy Sovereignty Carveout is Now Available for All Community Solar Projects - Illinois Solar for All

Illinois Solar for All has released the Energy Sovereignty carveout for the Illinois Solar for All: Community Solar sub-program for all qualified projects.

The total Energy Sovereignty carveout is $12,023,138.75. After project selection, $347,984.61 of Renewable Energy Resources Funds are still available. Combined with the Energy Sovereignty carveout, $12,371,123.36 in Renewable Energy Resources Funds are available for new Community Solar projects in the sub-program budget. Projects utilizing these funds must adhere to additional federal funding requirements.

The Community Solar rolling submission window is open for projects that promote Energy Sovereignty and will expand to include all eligible community solar projects to begin applying on April 9, 2025, at 9 a.m. The window will operate on a rolling basis until the end of the program year or until funds are depleted, whichever comes first.
