Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) has released the Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative report with findings and recommendations for stakeholder feedback. The initiative was developed in the 2023-2024 Program Year to address barriers faced by income-eligible participants who cannot participate in the Illinois Solar for All: Residential Solar sub-program due to required home maintenance repairs or upgrades for solar readiness. The initiative aims to increase sub-program participation by providing additional incentives to the Approved Vendors to support repairs or upgrades for solar installations on owner-occupied homes.

The Illinois Solar for All Program Administrator and the Illinois Power Agency recommend design changes for relaunching the Home Repairs and Upgrades pilot initiative. A webinar will be held as an opportunity for interested stakeholders to learn about the pilot initiative changes and offer feedback on improving the initiative design.

Stakeholders are encouraged to join the upcoming Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative webinar on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 1 p.m. CT to offer real-time input. To submit written feedback, stakeholders can email comments regarding the proposed updates to Comments@illinoisSFA.com by Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 5 p.m. CT.
