Funding Opportunities for CEJA Workforce Programs are Open for Applications

Please see the information below regarding DCEO’s continued efforts to identify grantees for available clean energy jobs workforce program funding opportunities.

Apply for Funding

The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity encourages organizations to apply to deliver the following Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) workforce programs in select regions. The deadline to be considered for the second round of reviews is February 23, 2024.

  • Clean Jobs Workforce Network Program (Workforce Hubs). Application link. Regions accepting applications: Waukegan, Aurora, Joliet, Peoria, Danville, Carbondale, East St. Louis
  • Energy Transition Navigator Program. Application Link. Regions accepting applications: Waukegan, Aurora, Joliet, Peoria, Champaign, Danville, Decatur, East St. Louis, and Alton

Attend a Networking Event

Applicants are encouraged to partner with other local organizations to ensure adequate coverage and capacity that will lead to successful grant programs. To build stronger, more inclusive partnerships, DCEO is hosting a series of local networking events in January. The events will raise awareness of the funding opportunities and provide a venue for organizations to connect.
