The Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) Program Administrator is pleased to announce that the new Grassroots Education cohort has been selected for the 2023 -2024 Program Year.
As trusted members of their communities, Grassroots Educators engage income-eligible residents to educate them about the Illinois Solar for All program. The Program Administrator has selected the following organizations for this cohort:
- A Just Harvest and Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization (PERRO)
- Citizens Utility Board (CUB) Consumer Education and Research Fund
- Community Action Partnership of Lake County
- Community Organizing and Family Issues (COFI)
- Ecology Action Center
- Faith In Place
- Garfield Park Community Council
- Imani Works
- Kenwood Oakland Community Organization
- METEC
- Party Per Purpose
- People for Community Recovery (PCR)
- Plant Chicago
Grassroots Education campaigns will be conducted across Illinois to reach urban and rural areas, and organizations will focus their work on environmental justice communities and income-eligible communities in Southern, Central, and Northern Illinois.
