The Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) Program Administrator is pleased to announce that the new Grassroots Education cohort has been selected for the 2023 -2024 Program Year.

As trusted members of their communities, Grassroots Educators engage income-eligible residents to educate them about the Illinois Solar for All program. The Program Administrator has selected the following organizations for this cohort:

  • Citizens Utility Board (CUB) Consumer Education and Research Fund
  • Community Action Partnership of Lake County
  • Community Organizing and Family Issues (COFI)
  • Ecology Action Center
  • Faith In Place
  • Garfield Park Community Council
  • Imani Works
  • Kenwood Oakland Community Organization
  • METEC
  • Party Per Purpose
  • People for Community Recovery (PCR)
  • Plant Chicago

Grassroots Education campaigns will be conducted across Illinois to reach urban and rural areas, and organizations will focus their work on environmental justice communities and income-eligible communities in Southern, Central, and Northern Illinois.
