The National Community Solar Partnership (NCSP) requests submissions for the new American-Made Community Power Accelerator TM Prize competition by March 15, 2023. The competition is designed to fast-track new and emerging solar developers and co-developers to grow their operations to support multiple thriving community solar projects.
The accelerator will create a pipeline of credit-ready community solar projects—particularly those that provide benefits to underserved communities—and connect them with mission-aligned investors and philanthropic organizations to get these projects funded.
The $10 million prize competition allows competitors to win up to $400,000 each over three prize rounds. Approved Vendors can learn more by visiting the U.S. Department of Energy website or signing up for the informational webinar on March 3, 2023 at noon ET.
In addition to the prize competition, the NCSP is sponsoring three fellow positions through the Department of Energy to support the implementation of the NCSP Community Solar Subscription Tool. The Illinois fellow will work with the Illinois Power Agency to implement the Community Solar Subscription Platform in Illinois. The deadline to apply is March 6, 2023.
