Applications are open for the next round of Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) grassroots education funding! Community-based non-profits across the state are invited to submit a proposal for education campaigns. Selected organizations will conduct year-long campaigns beginning in summer 2021.

As trusted members of their communities, these grassroots education organizations will provide information to income-eligible households on the basics of solar energy and the ILSFA program’s benefits and eligibility requirements.

More about the RFP:

  • Eligibility: Community based non-profits serving cities, towns, and rural communities anywhere in Illinois with strong local ties and a history of successful education campaigns; solar experience is not necessary.
  • Successful proposals will demonstrate how the organization will connect with community members (using methods flexible to COVID-19 circumstances) to drive awareness of the benefits of solar and ILSFA. Proposals should focus their outreach efforts on income-eligible households that can participate in ILSFA.
