Funding for the Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) Non-Profit/Public Facilities sub-program ($6.4 million) has been fully allocated for the 2019-2020 program year. Seven solar projects for non-profits and public facilities were approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, joining the 17 non-profit and public facility projects that were approved earlier in the program year, and the seven non-profit and public facility projects approved in the 2018-2019 program year.
Approved Vendors may still submit Non-Profit/Public Facilities projects until Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at 5:00 PM CST. These projects will be placed on a waitlist should previously approved projects withdraw from the program.
Approved Vendors should be aware that sub-program waitlists from the 2019-2020 program year will not be used after May 31, 2020, and the Project Selection Protocol for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 program years will not give preference to projects that were on previous years’ waitlists. This provision is detailed in Section 8.12.2 of the recently approved Revised Long-Term Renewable Resources Plan.
Please note: Program year 2019-2020 funding is still available in the Low-Income Distributed Generation sub-program ($9,581,580) and Approved Vendors may submit batches of projects on a first come, first served basis until Sunday, May 31, 2020, or until the annual sub-program budget is exhausted, whichever comes first. Funding for ILSFA’s 2020-2021 program year will be available starting in the summer of 2020. Approved Vendors will be able to submit projects in all three sub-programs at this time.
