The Illinois Power Agency and the Illinois Solar for All (ILSFA) Program Administrator are pleased to announce the launch of Illinois Solar for All: Bright Neighborhoods, also known as the Residential Solar Pilot. The new name, Bright Neighborhoods, reflects ILSFA’s goals to increase access to solar energy for income-eligible households in West Garfield Park, Chicago; Waukegan; and the Carbondale-Marion Area, including Jackson, Williamson, and Johnson counties.

Illinois Solar for All has been bringing residential solar to neighborhoods across Illinois since 2019. Bright Neighborhoods is designed to bolster participation in the Residential Solar (Small) sub-program by reducing barriers, including unfamiliarity with solar power, distrust in marketers, language barriers, and a complex administrative process.

Eligible homeowners are invited to enroll in Bright Neighborhoods now through the end of November 2023! To learn more about Bright Neighborhoods and to participate, visit IllinoisSFA.com/Bright or contact the Program Administrator at Bright@IllinoisSFA.com.
